The 20th Conference of China Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology

The 20th Conference of China Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology was successfully held in Wuhan, Hubei province from October 24th to 26th, 2018. The conference was hosted by The Special Committee of Reactor Structural Mechanics of the Chinese Society of Mechanics and the Nuclear Power Dynamics Committee Reactor Structural Mechanics Commettee of the Chinese Nuclear Society. It was undertook by the Nuclear Power Operation Institute/Nuclear Wuhan Nuclear Power Operation Technology Co., Ltd..

The conference received more than 110 submissions from more than 30 units, covering the following topics:

1. Seismic and stress analysis, computational mechanics;

2. Flow field, fluid-solid coupling and structural dynamics analysis;

3. Test and test method;

4. Equipment identification;

5. Fracture mechanics and defect assessment;

6. Aging management and life assessment;

7. Failure analysis of equipment and materials;

8. Mechanical problems related to containment and other structures;

9. The inspection and maintenance of the running nuclear power plant.

Mr. Chunlei Ma and Mr. Zhijie Li of our company were invited to attend the meeting and take part in an exhibition. Mr. Ma gave a lecture titled "A Simulation of 3D Crack Growth through Multi-material in Heat Affect Zone".
